On Saturday October 19 2024, the Central Washington Antique Farm Equipment Club had their fifth meeting of the year at the American Legion in Yakima. The board meeting started at 11 AM, a potluck at noon, and then the General meeting at 1 PM. A lot of business was done.

On Tuesday August 20th, 2024, CWAFEC members met up at Timpke Machine & Welding to see Bill Allen progress on the Fairbanks-Morse 35E10 Engine Crank. The crank has been turned and Bill is now working on the bearings. He has some of them done.

Doc and I picked up the repaired Small People Wagon axle and tongue from Kent. These parts will be painted and put back on this week.

July 11th 2024, Kent brought over the Central Washington Antique Farm Equipment Club Small People Wagon so we can do some maintenance, repair the front axle, and paint the side boards with the club logo and name so it can be seen better in parades. Work will start when it cools down. Let me know if you want to come and help with this club project.

While Kent was here with his trailer, he picked up the two tractor of his that I picked up from the museum.

Picking Up A Massey Harris From Estate Sale

On Sunday June 9th, 2024, we helped Kent pick up a Massey Harris he bought at the Hidden Treasures Estate Sales. It was stuck in gear, so Bill had to hold the clutch down. The steering was also frozen so we had to use a bar to turn the front wheels as Kent winched the tractor on the trailer.

Starting Odo’s Ford 650 Tractor

Around 10 AM on Wednesday May 8th, 2024 Kent came to Graham Family Farm and helped Calvin, AKA Odo work on starting his Ford 650. A few thing wrong were the valves were to tight, the plugs were bad, the timing was off, and the carburetor wasn’t working right. A dust cover was missing on the distributor too. We ordered it.

Kent took the carburetor home to fix it. He opened the it up and all he seen wrong was the main jet was almost all the way closed. That is probably the problem.

This project will be worked on more on another day.

“Tuesday Crew” 2/6/2024

The “Tuesday Crew” is a group of volunteers that help do projects at the Central Washington Agricultural Museum on Tuesdays.

The museum needs many volunteers and can use all skills at any level. You can visit the museum any Tuesday between 8am – 3pm and join our crew of volunteers who show up to do any task that needs to be done. Bring a “Brown Bag” sack lunch and join the “Tuesday Crew”. The Coffee break is at 10 am and lunch is at noon. Coffee and conversation is always ready.
