On April 1st 2023 volunteers held the Central Washington Agricultural Museum annual Season Opening. There were demonstrations in the Olde Yakima Letterpress building, the blacksmith shop, and apple packing line. There was a dedication of the new Veterans Memorial statue. The Trams ran from the parking area at Fullbright Park up to the entrance of the museum. The little ones got to ride on the tractor train. The Horse~n~Harness Group of the Agricultural Museum gave horse drawn wagon rides. The Central WA Antique Farm Equipment Club brought out some of the shiny tractors and had the Lindeman Archives for people to see. The Klingele Shop had an engine cut-a-way display. There were some food vendors as well.
This was a very fun family event.

The Tuesday Crew of the Tom Klingele Building had a lot of different projects going on. Some things going on were; Kent and Bill worked on a Cat Crawler, Work on a 3 wheel delivery cart, George worked on an old Sprayer wagon, Odo sprayed primer on the 1942 International K6 and Odo & I Clay numbered equipment. There were other things I did not get to see.

Odo has been working on getting a 1942 International K6 cab ready for paint. He primered it last Tuesday. Today he sanded the cab and shot paint on it. I took a photo of the chassy, fenders and grill to show what the cab will go on.
Steve has been working on a John Deere Crawler. Today it was pulled in half. He told me the clutch and brake pedals were froze together. He got everything broke loose and was waiting parts.
Kent worked on removing a sickle mower from a 1947? Leader since the tractor did not have a way to run it anymore.
As we were there, a semi truck with a brand new John Deere excavator came in and picked up a very old Avery tractor. I was told it was heading to the Mid-west to it’s new owner. Not sure if the two pieces of equipment are going to the same place.
Volunteers are always needed at the Central Washington Ag Museum if you would like to help.
