Central Washington Ag Museum “Tuesday Crew” – Case Tractor, Welder, & Other Repair Projects

On February 7th 2023 we met at the Central Washington Ag Museum for the Tuesday Volunteer Crew. They got some parts in to the fix the gears in the Case Tractor that has been in the shop awhile. Bill worked on a welder that he got the engine to run awhile back.
Many of this Shop’s volunteers are members of the Central Washington Antique Farm Equipment Club.
Central Washington Agricultural Museum “Tuesday Crew”
Volunteers & Members meet at the museum to work on whatever needs to be done. Volunteers are needed for everything imaginable. Every skill at any level can be utilized. Everyone is encouraged to attend & be a part of the “Tuesday Crew”. The volunteers & members meet 8 am-3 pm. Coffee break is at 10 am – join the “Tuesday Crew” for coffee & bring a “Brown Bag” lunch & join them for lunch.

Loading Old Farm Equipment to a New Home
On October 19 2022 we picked up some free old farm equipment from Terrace Heights for Odo. We used the 93 YJ to winch the Ford 600 tractor onto the trailer. The David Bradley walk behind tractor drove onto the trailer. The rest we loaded by hand.

Pioneer Power Show & Swap Meet

The Pioneer Power Show started in 1981. Tractors, Wheat Threshing/Binding, Bread Making, Swap Meet, Horse Demos, Equipment Parade & More in Union Gap every 3rd weekend in August. Hosted by The Central Washington Antique Farm Equipment Club, and the Central Washington Agricultural Museum.
On Thursday, August 18th, 2022 we set up the Eastern Washington Expeditions Chuckwagon booth up in Union Gap, Washington out front of the Central Washington Agricultural Museum by the foot bridge for the annual Pioneer Power Show & Swap Meet.
This year the EWE Chuckwagon served Pancakes, sausage & coffee for breakfast. For lunch we served Italian Sausage covered with sauteed peppers & onions, Italian Meatballs covered with marinara sauce, and Bratwurst with sauerkraut. We also served shaved ice, sweet tea, and bottled water.
Saturday and Sunday the Pioneer Power Show & Swap Meet started at 8 AM and ran until 5 PM. There were many fun things to do and to watch; Shop the Swap Meet, tram rides from the parking lot into the museum, tractor pulls, horse powered farm equipment demos, sawmill demo, apple packing line demo, a working blacksmith shop, music, rides for the kids, equipment parades, kids can run an quilt show, Vintage Snowmobile on display, and so much more. It was a very fun event for the whole family.
